Here are some of the frequently asked questions that we have received from people regarding our DigitalBull GO Google My Business Analyzer software. 

1. Who is the GMB Analyzer for? 

Our DigitalBull GO Google My Business Analyzer is mainly made for white-label companies looking to find out how to improve the rankings of their clients. They are the intended targets. However, it can be used by the end-client as well. Our feature helps by converting a subjective into an objective and showing them where they can improve. 

2. What does the GMB Analyzer do? 

The GMB Analyzer is one of the 2 main features of the power-packed DigitalBull GO platform. It provides a visual comparison of your listing vs the top 3 individually and collectively, enabling you to picture your listing vs the top 3 listings. 

Further, upon clicking on the support link, it opens up to our Expert System with curated recommendations and techniques from DigitalBull GO team members and top Local SEO Experts. 

3. What can I expect from this GMB Analyzer feature? 

You will get a tool- no, a toolset that ensures that you have left no stone unturned in order to find out where to improve your website, maps, GMB, and citations in order to rank higher in the Map Pack.  

The GMB Analyzer enables you to identify where you’re doing well and lagging behind through a mix of information, checklists, and benchmarking against the leaders. 

4. Will there be a point system displayed to see how well my GMB lines up with the competitors? 

In a word, yes. We are working on the UI now. Do note that the points system may not equate to the exact rankings. However, it can act as a marker at various stages of a project. 

As of now, we offer a colorful graphic visualization. The main Dashboard displays how your GMB matches up collectively against those who are 1st, 2nd, and 3rd on the Map Pack (Rank 1, 2, & 3), along with how you compare to Rank 1. 

If you click on the GMB Analyze module and go to ‘GMB Analyzer’, you can check yourself individually against the 2nd and 3rd competitors on the Map Pack (Rank 2 & 3). Rank 1 is also visible. 

5. What does ‘Custom Map Enabled & Working?’ mean in the Maps Analysis? 

This is the first subfactor under the ‘Custom Maps’ tab. There are several Google Custom Map options that help in the GMB Map Pack ranking.

We review the custom maps you have created against those 4-5 custom map types based on relevance to the niche. 

Ex: Service Area, Directions from nearby landmarks, etc. 

6. How extensive will the Citations Analysis be in GMB Analyzer? 

‘Citations’ are one of the factors in our Listing Analysis.  Analyzing each and every citation is tedious and time-consuming. Some citations have little to no impact on rankings.

We propose to deal with it in a different fashion as the traditional citation process can delay the analysis results and is extremely confusing to a newcomer in GMB. 

We are in the process of building the DigitalBull Top 100 citation list for each niche & area/state which will allow us to compare existing citations against this top 100 list. 

Till such time our Top 100 citation list is ready, we will be comparing the citations using our citation partners and further validating the top citations through Google. 

7. Will the GMB Analyzer receive updates? If so, how frequently? 

Yes. Google is always making new changes to its algorithm and we need to keep pace to provide an accurate representation of the factors that play a role in Map Pack ranking. We currently plan to update our GMB Analyzer on a monthly basis.

These may be changes in the text, UI/UX, tools, analysis factors, our Expert System algorithm, etc. Users will be notified if and when any change occurs. 

8. After GMB Analyzer is used, will I get the information needed to make the right changes? 

No tool can be perfect, especially one that seeks to get into the innards of the Google Algo for Maps. Our own algorithm, DigitalBull Expert System, is an ambitious attempt at deciphering the known factors that impact the map rankings.

5. Will you have monthly updates for me for how well my listing is ranking on the Map Pack? 

Yes, you can view map rankings. This can be found in the ‘Map Pack Ranking’ tool under the ‘Map Pack Ranking’ submodule in GMB Optimizer and is used to showcase the positioning of the listing on the map results on a monthly basis. 

This process is manual for now but we are working to automate it over the next 3 months and it will cover both Map results and SERP rankings.

6. What are the functions of the submodules in the GMB Optimizer? How do I use them? 

a. GMB Optimizer 

Upon clicking the ‘+’ sign in the yellow circle at the bottom right, you get a ‘GMB Optimizer’ popup where you can track the optimization progress for 13 Map Pack factors. The existing data can also be edited later on as more factors get optimized. 

b. GMB Maps 

This module is under the ‘Custom Maps’ element. Upon clicking the ‘+’ sign in the yellow circle at the bottom right, you get an ‘Optimize Maps’ window where you can add links or codes to your map embeds and custom maps. It also acts as a checklist to ensure your maps are optimized. 

c. GMB Posts 

This module is under the ‘Posts’ element. Upon clicking the ‘+’ sign in the yellow circle at the bottom right, you get an ‘Optimize Posts’ window where you can add keywords, hashtags, CTA, post status, and links to the posts on your listing. It also acts as a checklist to ensure your posts, events, and offers are optimized. 

d. GMB Photos 

This module is under the ‘Photos’ element. Upon clicking the ‘+’ sign in the yellow circle at the bottom right, you get an ‘Optimize Photos’ window where you can add links to the photos on your listing. It also acts as a checklist to ensure your photos are optimized. 

e. Map Pack Ranking This module is under the ‘Map Pack Ranking’ element. It enables you to track rankings on the Google Map results for certain keywords on a monthly basis. 

7. Will the GMB Optimizer receive updates? If so, how frequently? 

Yes. Google is always making new changes to Google Maps and Google My Business. In turn, we need to keep pace to provide an accurate representation of the Listing elements. 

We currently plan to update our GMB Optimizer on a monthly basis. These may be changes in the text, UI/UX, tools, optimization factors, etc. One upgrade we’re thinking of is giving the user the ability to auto-schedule posts.

Currently, the user needs to list and track manually where the posts are distributed on their GMB Listing. Users will be notified if and when any change occurs.
